Emily Conroy-Krutz is an Assistant Professor of History at Michigan State University. She is the author of Christian Imperialism: Converting the World in the Early American Republic (Cornell 2015) as well as articles on missions, reform, and foreign relations in the Journal of the Early Republic, H-Diplo, and The World of the Revolutionary American Republic. She has forthcoming pieces in Early American Studies and Rethinking Grand Strategy. She was an invited panelist in the Journal of American History’s Fall 2016 "Interchange: Globalization and Its Limits between the American Revolution and the Civil War.” She received her PhD from Harvard in 2012.
