Applications are being accepted for SHAFR fellowships & grants that fund dissertation research, junior faculty research, research in foreign language sources, and scholarship in U.S. foreign relations history by women. Nominations are also being accepted for the Stuart L. Bernath Lecture Prize. They are listed below by deadline. SHAFR membership is required to apply.

Taking (an early) look ahead, the 2017 annual meeting will be held in the Washington, DC area (Arlington, VA) from June 21-24, 2017. The Call for Papers (CFP) will be going out in the Fall, with an early December deadline for proposals. More details will be available once the CFP is released.
We are pleased to announce that SHAFR member Carly Goodman has been selected as a 2016 Mellon/ACLS Public Fellow and will begin a position at the American Friends Service Committee in the fall. (More info at http://www.acls.org/news/06-08-2016/) Thanks to receiving SHAFR's Dissertation Completion Fellowship for 2015-2016, Goodman successfully defended her dissertation and received her Ph.D. in History from Temple University this spring.
